Overview

With several generations under its belt, the EZONE 100 continues its trajectory as one of the game's most versatile and user-friendly player's racquets. Offering a slightly more forgiving and powerful response than the EZONE 98, this racquet not only rewards fast swings with easy targeting, it also gives you that signature Yonex feel (think plush and precise). For 2022 Yonex adds 2G NAMD SPEED to the graphite layup in the shaft, resulting in a more powerful response with better ball feedback. Yonex has also improved the beam construction, adding a thicker, more convex cross section in the shaft (for stability) along with a thinner frame face (for a softer response). Other technologies include Yonex’s time-tested ISOMETRIC head shape, a unique design feature that makes Yonex racquets feel more generous and forgiving than conventionally shaped equivalents. Ultimately, this update not only keeps a good thing going, it also recaptures the great feel of past iterations. Intermediate and advanced players looking for a speedy and versatile player's racquet should add this to their demo list.

Great Racquet! The racquet is light and easy to handle. I feel more confident using this racquet in my matches. As a club player I just needed the confidence that this racquet brings me. Also the customer service "Racquet Specialist" was very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you!

A must demo!I’m so happy with this purchase, can’t say enough about this outstanding racquet, it just feels right, and along with Yonex and its outstanding customer support I’m glad I made the switch to Yonex.

Great ControlI accidentally picked up my instructor's racquet and started using it during a lesson. It was this racquet and I loved it. As a beginner, I find this racket gives me a lot more control when I hit the ball. The racquet is very comfortable to use. I would definitely recommend this racquet to anyone.

Absolute best racket!I have played with different brands but I love Yonex. This racquet has easy power and you can adjust the feeling with the strings type. I used to play with the Yonex Vcore pro for several years but I found the Ezone a lot more comfortable My wife also switch to this one after using the Yonex SV 100 for several years too and she loves it! She uses Wilson NXT control or comfort and I use Diadem Solstice with Diadem Revolution and they play totally different. You should demo this racquet and see how much less you have to work for your moves!

Great racquetAfter demoing the EZONE 100 vs 2 other popular racquets this was the clear choice. Lots of control and has a lot of power. Highly recommend this racquet.

Fantastic StickAbsolutely have enjoyed this racquet, of course both my son and I (juniors) was playing with the gen 6 Ezone 100, so the transition was easy. Compared to the gen 6, I felt this racquet had a little more flex without sacrificing stability, all around pleased with volleying, back court, serving and return of serve. Strung hybrid 49/52, demo this stick for yourself definitely at the top of my tweener 100 head rackets list.

Wow -- What a Surprise!!!I am a 3.5 player who just went through a 6-month racquet demo. I played with ALL the top models from Head, Wilson, Babolat, Prince, Dunlop and ProKennex. The shop owner suggested I try the EZONE 100. Out of respect, I didn't laugh in his face. Then the strangest thing happened -- I LOVED it! I was shocked by how much I liked playing with it. So, I ordered two and retired my 10 year old Six.Ones. I couldn't believe how much I enjoy playing with the EZONE. I still can't. Even now as I am writing this review I still can't believe it. Far be it from me to tell anyone which racquet they should buy. My advice to anyone who asks is...get the racquet that you want for your own reasons. Anything that encourages you to get out there and play is the right choice. As for me, the EZONE 100 is the way to go.

Power, Spin, and ControlComing from a Pro Kennex this has been a great racquet for power, spin and control. The Kennex is more elbow friendly but lacks the power. Arm comfort overall on the Kennex is in its own league. I have not however had any arm issues with the Yonex but the racquet does have a more pronounced shock than the Kennex. Sweet spot is bigger and overall I have a better game with this racquet than the Kennex. This has became my favorite racquet and my game reflects it!

Best ever gemIf you need stability, this has it. If you need power, this has it. If you need control, this has it. If you need touch/feel, this has it. Haven't seen a racquet that possess all the good qualities in a single Racquet. Thank you YONEX!

100 sq inch racket of the year!Stable for its weight even against hard hitting 5.0 players. Most notable is the large sweet spot, the ball seems to sink into the string bed for a fraction longer than other racquets. Plays well with pretty much any poly. Not as much control as a 98 but control is more than adequate. Playing with the racquet in stock form.

Great RacquetI demo'd about a dozen racquets before I finalized my choice to the Ezone 100. I came from the Volkl PB8, which I loved, looking for easier spin and I found it. I added about 15 grams of tungsten tape to the throat, and I may add more for plow through, since it's lighter than I prefer. Currently stringing it at 48 with Volkl Cyclone 16. Found easy spin and power on my groundies, my serve came alive!

Great overall racquetI was in confused which one to go for either HEAD Boom MP, Speed MP, Ezone 100 2022 or Tecnifiber RS 300. As Boom MP is still not available in my country, I went ahead with EZONE, more helpful racquet. I have been playing with this for past 4 weeks or so. It is overall a very very good racquet. Best part is stability and decent power. On returns and volley racquet feels very stable and gives you confidence. In general, All you have to do is just have a complete swing of shots, try to time the ball and racquet will help you with rest of the things. It's not much stiff. if you don't swing it properly, or play lethargically, you may feel soreness in the shoulder. I got it strung with Yonex poly tour pro 125mm. I am still exploring the spin potential of the racquet and will have to test few other strings to know what works best for the spin in it. Overall I am enjoying my racquet. Hopefully it will help me improving my game.

Elbow painNice overall racquet but after playing for 3-4 weeks gave me some tennis elbow thinking about switching to a Wilson Blade which is more comfortable to play with.

A mustYou must try this racquet and find out for yourself how great it is. I come from family of Babolat and have been playing with the Pure Strike 16x19 in recent years. The Tennis Warehouse easy demo program lets me try testing more suitable racquets as my body changes. EZONE 100 offered me great power, control, and precision in light of my diminishing physical power. It's as if I am 20 years younger. I strung it with Yonex Poly Tour Pro 18/1.15 to add extra spin and be soft on my elbow. I loved it so much that I bought 2. Try it, you will be amazed.

LOVE!I just switched from the VCORE 280g to the EZONE 300g. (Previously used the Prince Black Team, this has been the closest to playing like my Black Team Racquet). The extra weight puts more easy power behind my shots. The racquet has tremendously helped my serve! The weight distribution assists with power and placement. I seriously have a better serve with this racquet! It has helped me up my game! Plus, it got me to Nationals!

EZayyyyI've tested just about every major racquet brand and their top lines, and currently own around 20. However, I've never connected with a racquet, nor have I ever played this good in my entire time playing tennis. The racquet makes the game so easy. It feels as if I can't miss, and encourages me to keep swinging big. I was worried about the the weight when I first received it because it was quite light and I was worried I would make the ball sail, but I actually have been using it in stock form! On serves, the racquet glides through the air, and drops absolute bombs. I played a college club tournament with it, and my first two service games went uncontested. On the forehand, I get amazing spin potential(contrary to what I was expecting) and I have so much confidence in striking the ball from any corner of the court. Backhands are awesome, especially when you flatten it out down the line. The feel of the racquet is amazing, and my only complaint comes on slices, but that's more of a me issue, not the racquet. Overall, great racquet and is my favorite of all time. I've played tennis for about 5.5 years, and currently sit at a 4.0-4.5 level.

Solid frameLong time AeroPro/Pure Aero user that switched to the Pure Drive 2021 seeking more power for doubles play (for flatter shots and serving). The Pure Drive had power but finally came to the conclusion that control and feel was lacking when taking fast and full swings. You always had to be spot on with full strokes especially with the smaller targets in doubles play. Also didn't have as much versatility on finesse shots. Went back to the Pure Aero but decided to try the Ezone 100 after looking at reviews. After playing with it, I found the Ezone 100 is a solid frame with Pure Drive power but with more control. I could better feel where I was directing the ball on each strike. Also felt it had a larger sweet spot as I experienced less mishits than usual in windy conditions. Slices were easier to grab the ball and stroke through with court depth and heavy spin. Volleys well. Haven't tried many finesse shots with it yet. Solid with serves. Doesn't lose any of the energy you put into it when serving hard. Effective slice and spin serves. Long time 4.0 player in my early 60's trying to maintain playing at a high level as I get older. I think this racquet may help others in the same situation.

The best Ezone so farI have been using Ezone 100 since its first generation out of market. Still hit with Xi and played competitive matches with Dr 100. I'm not too impressed by the prior two generations. But this Sky Blue model is the best combination of Xi and Dr. Plushy and powerful. My groundstrokes are deeper and the heavier. Most important of all, I don't need to use extra force to make them happen! My arms thanked me a lot since I started to use this new Sky Blue Ezone. If you are a Ezone fan, its time to demo or purchase this stick. I'm very happy with the Sky Blue 100. I'm a 4.5 female baseliner and used the Yonex Polytour Rev 17 for 42lB, full bed.

Ezone 100 2022Switched to this frame from a Babolat Pure Drive 2021…should have done it months sooner! The 2022 Ezone 100 is not as stiff, has a much more plush feel upon contact, more control, but still has plenty of plow-thru when I want to hit a heavy shot. My tennis elbow/elbow pain went away after switching to this frame even though I still use the same string setup and tension. It's stiff enough that I don't feel like I'm getting pushed off the court when playing against big-hitters, but plush enough that ball contact is not jarring and I still have plenty of control.

Comments: Coming from a weighted Aero Pure Drive 2013 and looking for replacement with same free power, optional ability to flatten groundstrokes, also flatten serve- so far this is the shizzle. Flatten or severe spin is there for serving and groundies, my backhand slice much better. Overall, seem to have lost nothing, but gained variety. Playing with stock weight and balance, no mods, which is shocking. Read about other Yonex mids, Head mid and midplus, some complain of being underpowered. Pure Drive was a candidate, but I didn't try it. Hit occasionally with the Yonex DR98 and was looking for a bit more free power, without sacrificing too much control. The 100 size of the EZONE adds the power (trampoline if you like), without too much control loss, and spin and flat are both there. Overall charged about my pick. Thanks to many replies online from others reviewing other frames helped me narrow down the choices. Thanks guys!

Comments: In my demo was the 2022 EZONE 100. I have to say it felt like I was cheating using this racquet. I had virtually no mishits, and the power was ridiculous. I'm not sure if I was as fun to hit with. I didn't feel like I was making any real effort, the racquet did most the work. Like, I didn't need to try to put the ball where I wanted, it just kind of went there with little effort. My serves were just bombs. The sweet spot on this racquet is huge and almost feels like an oversized racquet compared to the 98. This is a very comfortable racquet, no arm/elbow pain. I did hit a few long because of the easy power, but after a few sessions it's easy to adjust. I might buy this racquet and use it when I'm getting fatigued from my 98 and need to finish a match. If you want precision with power and you have some power of your own go for the 2022 EZONE 98. If you want easy tennis with little effort and easy power go for the 2022 EZONE 100. I would recommend either of these racquets. My current racquet is the 2020 EZONE 98 305g strung with Poly Tour Rev at 54 mains and 52 cross (Racquets of my past: Prince Warrior, Babolat Pure Drive 100 Tour/Roddick , Babolat Pure Drive 100 300g, ProKennex Ki)

Comments: I've been playing with the Yonex Vcore 98 for several years, and have not been a fan of the Ezone in its various incarnations. But this racquet is insane, quite possibly the best stick I have hit with since my old Pro Staff 85 many years ago. It is so powerful that it generates effortless depth and pace with excellent accuracy and amazing comfort. I typically hit the ball very flat and dictate from the baseline, but like to loop heavy balls when pulled wide - this racquet generates very nice spin even with a multifilament (Sensation 52 lbs; I'm used to a VS gut/Luxilon hybrid in my Vcore at 50/48). It volleys superbly, is surprisingly maneuverable and pockets the ball extremely well. It has fine touch. And, it is easy on my joints (I have torn wrist ligaments and severe shoulder issues). I am a convert and just bought several. Simply an exceptional frame that I am sure will become iconic. I'm age 61 and a former ITF player.

Comments: I currently play with the EZONE 100 and just demoed both the new 100 and the new 98. I love the slightly softer and plusher response from these new racquets. The power is still very much there, but I'm able to put more spin on the ball to keep it in the court and attempt finesse shots that don't really stick as often with the current 100. There also seems to be a little less vibration than I'm used to from the current 100. There's still plenty of power to be had here, and the combination of the ever so slightly thicker beam, new material in the layup, and softer stiffness in the frame helps maintain power while still adding a nice bit of control and (somehow) more spin potential. If you use the current EZONE, with this new one you can expect: 1) Plusher feel on contact 2) Softer touch and more control 3) Still that same EZONE power. I was considering switching to the 98, but I am going to stick with the 100. They are both incredible racquets and it really comes down to personal preference. With weight modification and different string setups, you can either give the 98 a little more power or give the 100 a little more control. I'm opting for the latter!
