The Tennis Tutor ProLite is a full-featured professional ball machine, yet it stands only 12 inches tall and weighs less than 30 pounds. Patented technology borrowed from the world's No. 1 portable ball machine, the Tennis Tutor, makes it possible. This Tennis Tutor ProLite is battery powered. Please note the Pro-Lite machines do not have wheels for transporting and should only be moved without balls in the hopper.

Comments: I'm using the Tennis Tutor Model 4 version (Oscillation, remote, height, speed) and have been for the past eight years. It's amazing and performs exactly as it was advertised to do. The battery lasts far longer than any court time I've spent using it, and it quickly charges. Having the oscillation and being able to change the height just adds to its versatility. Mine came with a built-in handle, so it's super easy to wheel on/off the court. I've read some of the negative comments below, and frankly I think the commentators either don't know how to use it, didn't read the directions, or something else is going on that's leading to their dissatisfaction. Go to any top flight training institute and you'll see a Tennis Tutor on site. There's a reason for that. If you can grab one used, snatch it up asap.

Comments: I have used this oscillating battery powered machine on an intermittent basis in a Honolulu condo complex for almost ten years. I am surprised by some of the comments here. However, I almost always use this machine with the optional AC adapter. I charge the battery and then use the AC adapter as instructed. I use Penn pressure-less balls in this machine. I am on my third bucket of Penn balls. Once I have the lift set I do not touch it, I just reposition the machine. I note that my old balls shoot a lot further than the new Penn pressure-less balls, so it must take a while for the covers to roughen up. I actually like the variety of having different launches combined with the oscillation. I am able to place this machine on a wheeled shopping bag cart and carry a basket of balls with my free hand. A very portable system for my condo which has an AC outlet at the tennis court. I am 3.5 to 4.0 player. I play with a Wilson Pro Staff RF97 Autograph and I am an assistant coach with the girl's high school tennis team. I have used this machine as a teaching aid on battery power in the past. After about ten years, the plastic wheels that support the rotating box on the floor plate gave up the ghost and broke. I called Tennis Tutor and they sent me four new wheels for free. It goes without saying that my next ball machine will also be a Tennis Tutor product. Personally, if I was to buy again I would buy the AC only version although the option to use battery power is nice. So from my experience I can recommend this as an excellent portable ball machine for AC use, with an option for occasional battery use.

Comments: Awful experience using this machine. Very poor consistency, no power. Height adjustment knobs are a pain to deal with. Pros: it is light and portable. Cons: does not hold a charge on the expensive charger it comes with. Need to order another one!
From:Memo, 9/16

Comments: Terrible. Just an awful machine. One wheel works while the other takes a lunch break. Always causes either a short throw, or a crazy sidewinder that you'll just have no chance at. Tennis is a sport of one bounce, but with this you'd think it was a game of 3 bounces. Doesn't matter if you have it lined up at the baseline or service line. Balls shoot out with an anemic launch. Incredibly over-sensitive height adjustment (which rarely holds its position). It's a nice thought to have a ball machine at this price point, but save your money and get something built with quality. I've owned the Tennis Cube, and now this ProLite, and I couldn't be more disappointed in the quality of Tennis Tutor ball machines.
From:Derek, 10/14

Comments: I have used my Tennis Tutor Ball Machine about 10 times and so far it's the best $800 I've spent. I'm a guy who plays about 3 times a week and can't always find a partner to play with, so I load up my basket of balls and ball machine for some practice time. My game has improved tremendously over one months time. I played a match today and won 6-1 6-1. I got to say it's because of my continuous practice hitting forehand after forehand. If you have the money, it's well worth it! I love it!
