This update is ideal for hitting powerful, spin-loaded balls that drop hard and explode off the court

With this impressive update to the SX 300, Dunlop doubles down on spin! Boasting a speedy sub-325 swingweight along with wider string spacing, this stick not only delivers a higher launch angle and easier access to depth, it's also perfect for hitting powerful, spin-loaded balls that drop hard and explode off the court. Along with its new mold and more stable beam construction, the SX 300 gets updated with Spin Boost + Grommets, which are not only shaped to help the strings grip and rotate the ball but also positioned strategically to optimize spin across a wider range of impact locations. Additional technologies include Sonic Core Infinergy, an ultra elastic material that adds comfort and power near the racquet's tip, the natural contact point for advanced ball strikers. Ultimately, the SX 300 is simply a great option for aggressive players, especially if they want a speedy spin machine with enough power to end points with a bang.

Firm but fairNot as firm as the Pure Drive, but not far from it. Just like with Pure Drive you have to control the ball with lots of spin and it works if you do that. I put extra weight at 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock, became super stable at the net and for volleys. I like it. However, it's NOT for flatter hitting people.

Texas TennisI recently retired from an incredibly stressful job. I was an investigator of child abuse/neglect and then an investigative supervisor over a number of child abuse/neglect investigators. I did this for 20 plus years when the average turnover is 1 to 2 years. But the last four years before retirement the work had really started affecting me. I basically put down all extra curricular activities like tennis, pool, guitar just to make through the job concentrate on the kids and make retirement with paid for health insurance the rest of my life. So now I’m trying to get back into all these things and I purchased this racquet because it seemed the closest I played with when I stopped playing for those years. I played with what was called then the Dunlop 500 tour. And this racquet spec wise was the closest. I’ve always thought Dunlop racquets were overall under rated and usually had great luck with them. But this racquet actually played very different not bad but just not my feel zone. The head seems bigger than 100sq inches and balls had a tendency to end up places that I never intended. At first I thought it was just my time away and maybe the fact that I taught myself at around 30. Never a lesson or coach. I watched the pros on tv and tennis channel bought a couple of books and then basically just went to the court and mimicked what I saw. And actually it came together fairly quickly and I was a fair tennis player. But then I tried the SX 300 tour and it was like I had never stopped playing. When you hit the sweet spot with that racquet which you do have to concentrate on but when you do it is perfection in motion with forehand, one handed backhand and slice. So I would go with the tour and I now have a regular 300 that I’ll probably donate to a school or give to a kid who needs a racquet.

Great frameReally great frame. I moved from a 98 sq in “player” frame to this. Glad I did. I guess I'm either too out of shape or aged out of a heavier frame. This thing is stable and gives me something for free, isn't overly demanding and has a very generous sweet spot. Really enjoying it. Just have to be sure to watch the orientation of the racquet face b/c balls can fly (but this is on me as the user, not the frame). Really love the launch angle and depth this thing gives. I enjoy and think this is a better frame than a Pure Aero. I've played with one of those and much prefer the feel and predictability of this frame. Really great offering from Dunlop. High quality, fun to play with and adds to my game even late in matches.
