With its 107 square inch head, thin beam and familiar cross bar, the Phantom 107G is reminiscent of the iconic Prince Original Graphite OS. In addition to having its own unique beam construction and material layup, what truly separates the Phantom 107G from the legendary POG is speed. By combining a sub-11.5 ounce strung weight with a whippy sub-320 RDC-swingweight, Prince has created an oversize player's racquet that is fast and explosive enough for the modern game. In addition to the buttery feel from its thin 17.5mm shaft, the 107G features an Anti-Torque System which combines Textreme and Twaron in both the shaft and upper hoop. The result is less racquet torque (bending) at impact, resulting in a more stable and powerful hitting experience. From the baseline, the Phantom 107G combines easy acceleration with above average stability for its weight class. The generous 107 head is forgiving without sacrificing an ounce of precision, and the wide spin-window works seamlessly with the grippy 16x19 string pattern to deliver easy access to spin. The speedy feel will also help you charge the net where this racquet's quick handling and stable response translate into very user-friendly volleying. Ultimately, with the 107G, Prince has placed the outstanding control and feel of their Phantom series into a more comfortable and powerful head size. Factor in the speedy feel, and you have one of the most unique player's racquet to come out in a long time.

Comments: Longtime fan of the Phantom range and am currently using the 107G. The precision on this racquet has to be seen to be believed. On groundstrokes I have the conviction that I can hit as hard as I want and the ball will not go out. Same for volleys, super precise feel. However, I struggle on serves particularly in long games compared to racquets with the friendlier feel. Overall, the tour-like specs make this a rather demanding racquet to use sustainably at my level, but it is very addictive to hit with. Advanced players should certainly check it out.

Comments: I bought the week of Thanksgiving and strung with a full bed of poly (Solinco Rev mains 52/ Yonex PTP cross 52). Added a little lead to 10 & 2. I was playing with a Head Gravity Pro and have all but switched after a few singles hits and playing mostly dubs with it. I love the weight and balance of the PP107. I grew up playing with Head Radical OS and occasionally pull out the Bumblebee reissues to hit. While they lack feel I have a connection with them I can't explain. I'll occasionally pull out a POG but the weight translates to an imminent drop off after a set and half. The full poly in the PP107G left a little to be desired. Could also have been the choice of poly and tension. I restrung with VS mains and Confidential crosses @ 51- wow! Great feel, nice power on demand. The only shot I'm having trouble with is my inside out forehand haven't hit enough to figure out the tweak. The thin bean and balance of the frame make it easy to maneuver for an oversize. It doesn't get pushed around either. I prefer an 18x19, but the pattern is dense enough that I can still hit decent flat balls. The frame is a mesh of several frames that I enjoy playing with Head Gravity Pro, POG, Head Radical OS. The thin beams seems to be the key to the balance and maneuverability. It's easier to get the head around than most 100" frames I've played with. Really enjoying the control I have with my 2HBH. The ball pockets with gut hybrid and rips off the string bed. The pull on a cross court backhand is just satisfying so much that I've been playing the Ad court in doubles (as a pretty solid forehand returner). Playing sparingly indoors now- once or twice a week and the PP107G has been the highlight of my winter. Really looking forward to starting the Spring season outdoors with it. Gut matters and makes this frame a solid winner. I originally bought thinking I'd use for singles and enjoys groundstrokes from the baseline, but my net play has been rock solid with it. In summation, TW and Prince have a hidden gem with this baby!

Comments: Can't remember when I've enjoyed a racquet so much as I have with this thin, sleek Prince Phantom 107G. No vibration and so easy on my 80 + year old arm. Strung with a natural gut 16 at 50/48 pounds.

Comments: Great racquet! It's light, but powerful. I had it strung & grip built up to 4 5/8. Used it once & haven't thought about my old racquet.

Comments: Updated review after 10 months. Still completely satisfied. Very whippy & maneuverable. Excellent spin and incredible power. Have configured with hybrid, full bed poly and multifilament. All configurations played well. Plays well on clay and hard courts. 4.5 player. Purchased 2 more since.

Comments: I played with Prince racquets back in the Dark Ages. This, to me, is the perfect modern version of the original Prince Graphite. It has more power, but also solid control and it's easy on the arm. This is a great racquet from the baseline and for returns. For some reason, I find it less effective at the net, which makes no sense at all. People are going to find that string and tension are crucial. The initial string setup I used was terrible and I almost wrote the racquet off. I switched things up and everything changed. At the moment, I've got a hybrid in one racquet and a good multifilament in the other, both strung at 52 lbs. The results in terms of playability are very good. I'll be trying a gut/multi hybrid next.

Comments: Nice feeling racquet! Not too powerful; great volley stick. You can control it with the right string set up. The balance and weight are nice, too.

Comments: Took a chance and ordered two of these. Could not be happier. I don't think I have ever played with a racquet that has no vibration. They are not kidding when they say it has a plush feel. Big sweet spot, great feel, very maneuverable at net and serves well. Give it a try, I think that you will like it. String it up at the maximum tension of 55 lbs. Great job Prince, and thanks to Tennis Warehouse for carrying them.

Comments: I continue to be impressed by this racquet everyday. One thing that I've come to appreciate is the comfort created by the oversize head. I've been experimenting with stiff polys, strung at 56 to 58 pounds, and the feel is remains super plush when paired with this frame. By comparison, the same strings strung at 48 pounds, feel like a board in my friend's Wilson Blade 98.

Comments: I love this frame. I grew up with the Graphite II. This is like a super forgiving 93P. Same plush feeling and can hit ridiculous half volleys. I did add a lot of weight to it to get enough pop. Playing it at 341g, 9.5HL, 330SW.

Comments: I demoed this racquet for a week but the problem is the recommended max tension is only 50 pounds, which I think is too low for OS racquet. Who knows why? My Head Flexpoint OS I string 60 pounds and it is then much better control racquet. Also due to the headlight balance this racquet does not generate such a spin and launch angle is pretty low.

Comments: I had three Phantom 100 racquets previously and made a comeback to the range with the 107G due to a wrist injury. The Phantom range is one of a kind, relatively lower on power, even versus other tour racquets, due to its thin beam but off the charts in terms of control and precision. The buttery feel is truly one of a kind, think of an extreme version of the Wilson Blade. The Phantom 100s did not do it for me in terms of reach and especially on serves. In comparison, the 107G feels just right. I wish there was a bit more pop on serves, but overall no complaints. Felt right at home from the first hit.I read somewhere that there is a lot of difference in feel with different string jobs, but I tend to disagree, this is a very opinionated racquet and you can't change the characteristics very much with different string combos.Lastly, huge kudos to Prince for coming out with so many interesting racquets and blending modern tech with their venerable history. This stick really looks like the POG and the matte black design is brilliant.

Comments: Best racquet that I have played with! Does everything well and just makes me more confident on every shot. Took a chance when I bought this Prince Phantom 107G and just went on reviews, and couldn't be more pleased. So glad that Prince is back!

Comments: This is my favorite Phantom to date. I've played with the Phantom Pro 100P, 100X, 100G, and my favorite POG to date. I have also played with the POG OS, POG 93, POG 100. It successfully fuses the best traits of both lines. Feel, comfort, control, and maneuverability of a Phantom. Stability, pop, and spin of a POG. More user-friendly than either line. Highly recommended.

Comments: Could not be happier with the 107G with Prince Vortex at 55 pounds. Previously played with the original Prince Graphite and new version of the Prince Graphite.I disagree with reviewers that suggest this model lacks power. I play a power all-court game and put away more balls and hit more aces with this frame. It has excellent touch and maneuverability too. I feel like I can swing away and not worry about the ball sailing. I agree with reviewers that note the exceptional slice groundstrokes that are possible with this frame. Serves are potent and lots of added spin to the slice in the deuce and kick in the ad.

Comments: This stick flies through the air. Very maneuverable for a 107 head size. The larger head is awesome, but not a lot of punch left for off-center hits. I think a tad bit more stiffness is added to the shaft and the 18x20 string pattern would give it more predictability on all shots. Overall liking it. I have two of them, they are in the low power range.

Comments: Purchased the Phantom 107G about a month ago after demoing it for a week. I find it easy on the arm, which was the main reason for my purchase as I am just coming off elbow surgery. I had it strung with polyester at low tension, but I am going to try a multifilament next string job. Very little adjust required from a ProKennex 100 square inch frame to the 107G. The serve has been the biggest challenge. So far so good, it continues to be easy on my arm. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this frame to anyone looking for an oversized frame that is arm-friendly.

Comments: I switched to this frame about a month ago after using the Head Microgel Radical Oversize for years. There isn't much choice in the 107 size for player's racquets, and this was a welcome offering. In more normal times, I play senior national events, and was looking for an open string pattern to generate a heavier ball. The TW review mentions a higher launch angle which I did not encounter. I have reduced tension from 47 pounds in my old frame to 39 pounds in this one with an all polyester stringbed, and am enjoying much greater feel and touch. I tried the Prince Original Graphite in it's previous version, but found it to heavy and powerful. The Phantom 107G hits my nail on the head.

Comments: I should have demoed this racquet. The handle and grip are too heavy for me
From: Becky, 1/6/21
Comments: Not exactly the racquet I was hoping for. While it is definitively a lighter, whippier, version of the Prince Original Graphite it lacks the control, power and solid precision of the last, now discontinued, Prince Original Graphite Tour version. While lighter it also transmits more vibrations, although quite dampened, than the big brother. Touch shots, drop volleys, are impressively good but after trying different combinations of tungsten tape at 12, 9, and 3 o'clock locations. From the baseline I still prefer my headlight sorted selection of the previous Prince Original Graphite model.
From: Paolo, 1/4/21
Comments: Played with the frame for almost two months now. Have had more opportunity to play matches with it. String longevity is quite good. 40 hours of gut and polyester before the crosses broke. I do not notice launch angle issues as mentioned in the TW review. Control is excellent for a open string pattern oversized frame. Dwell time feels ridiculously long and consequently slices, and drop shots have started to become new favorites. The wide spin window has produced some epic topspin lobs. Serving doesn't feel cumbersome despite the oversized hoop, easy to hit serves with power and spin. Arm comfort has been tremendous and both my shoulder, and golfer's elbow haven't felt this good in a couple years. Really think TW is underselling this frame. Few frames offer this kind of comfort, forgiveness, feel and spin in the same package.

Comments: I threw some lead in the throat of my 107G and got it at 345 grams at 31.8 balance. Strung with pink 16 gauge Multifeel at 62 pounds using an electronic constant pull. It is a serve monster for me. For some reason my slice serve is staying very very low, lower than my other dozens of racquets. I hit 120 serves today and at age 66 no arm issues whatsoever. I have been playing tennis for 60 years now and still take lessons, I think I return serve better with my 18x19 OS Radical Tours, but this 107G is growing on me. Slice backhands work well. Even though I just ordered six TK82S grip pallets for some of my Radical OS racquets I am very intrigued by this Prince 107G. Best new racquet purchase I think I have made in over a decade.

Comments: I've had a lot of 107 head sized racquets, from Prince and Head. I still have quite a few. If you like this size of racquet head you have got to try this one out. More power than I thought it would have and so comfortable. If you are Pogster sitting on the fence, jump in and get one of these.

Comments: Purchased this frame as a lighter easier swinging replacement for my Prince Original Graphite OS as I rehab from shoulder injury. During the honeymoon period, here is how I'm feeling about the frame so far. The positives are the top notch stability and feel for an OS. Maneuverable and easy to swing for a big frame. Controls better than expected with an open string bed and OS size. Excellent spin production. Large sweetspot. Comfortable racquet. The negatives are drop volleys and slices can float a bit too much. Really not much else. May be a string breaker, but we will see. Overall this racquet adds a bit more easy power and forgiveness to the Phantom line without sacrificing that Phantom feel. If you love thin beam players frames but are looking to add a little more power to your game, check this frame out.

Comments: Great frame. Plays well with multifilament through monofilament strings at 50 to 55 pounds. Heavy enough to remain solid against pace, but light enough to be maneuverable at net. Wide spacing on strings gives great bite on topspin or slice. Good flex for tender arms, but not so much as to lose power. I thought I lost speed on serves initially, but after a week I was hitting bigger and with a higher bounce. There is nothing out there like this frame. You need to try it yourself. I am a former college and Open player now competing in the senior division.
