Overview

This racquet comes pre-strung for added convenience and value!

This ultra-light racquet offers excellent power from anywhere on the court. Players with slower strokes or a compact swing will find easier access to depth thanks to the powerful response of this racquet. The large head makes the TiS.6 a forgiving racquet for those just getting started in the game while giving more experienced players more margin to brush the ball for spin. Impressive stability helps keep this racquet feeling comfortable in the hands. The maneuverability, power and access to spin also make this a great option for doubles players.

Ex Pro D1I'm a former D1 player, with a two handed backhand, western grip forehand and decent topspin on both sides. Currently I play with the Rafa Origin, and I was curious about this stick as I saw many top rated seniors playing with this racquet. I strung it up with the 15 gauge RPM blast as the provided strings snap after about 15 minutes or the first serious topspin shot. All of the sudden, the racquet provided incredible control with a thick poly, and a surprisingly low launch angle. However, the head felt a bit unstable when trying to take a full stroke. I added 10 grams of weight to the butt cap, 3 grams at the 10 o'clock and 3 grams at the 2 o'clock. Power was controllable and it could be a racquet that a serious player could win with. Honestly, I am having more success with the Ti6 than the Origin. However, the Ti6 is a bit rough on the arm with this set-up, but less tiring and less work compared to the Origin. Hard to understand how this racquet is so underrated for serious players. It's a bit like the old Wilson T2000 that was considered a beginners racquet and Jimmy Connors proved otherwise. Highly recommended for players 4.5 and above with Poly and customization.

Not DisappointedI received the Head tennis racquet Ti.S6 in one piece a few days after placing the order which was very excellent as I wanted to use it on a pending trip overseas. I was somewhat worried that a problem would appear once I took it out of the box and I would not be able to take it with me overseas. I was glad that there was none and I was not disappointed with the way the racquet played. It was light enough to swing with a head-heavy weight distribution. The only thing I did not like about the racquet was the sticky cushion grip. I found it to be so sticky that I was late changing my grip on multiple occasions. It could be due to lack of play for over a year. After a few days of use, the stickiness seems to have diminished and the racquet plays more to my liking. In the near future, I am going to have the Head cushion grip it came in with replaced with a less sticky leather grip.

Good RacketIt's a good racquet. It's very lightweight as well. It has a lot more pop to it than I'm used to, but nothing I can't adjust to.

Excellent Beginner RacquetI love tennis and everything about it. As such, I am always approached by newbies to introduce them to the sport. The first question they all ask is which racquet they should get. I reach into my bag and hand them my demo Ti.S6. The feedback is always the same. "I can't believe how awesome this racquet is! Where can I get one?" I direct them to Tennis Warehouse to get the best price and fastest delivery. This is the racquet on which they will build their game. In time, they will upgrade to a more advanced model. But, I guarantee they will always use the Ti.S6 as the basis for their comparison.

Was it the racquet?I had a Ti.S2 that I used for over 10 years, loved it. Never a problem. Friends convinced me to buy a new racquet, and among the ones I tried was the Ti.S6. It seemed to perform about the same as the S2, though I didn't like the convergent string pattern, which seemed to add some dink to shots on the edge of the racquet. One game I hit a medium-speed serve with spin and it sent a powerful surge of shock into my hand. I had trauma for about two days, couldn't squeeze things, and it's still sore four weeks later. Specialists have told me that the S6 is made in China, and the frame was hollowed out, so not nearly as stable as the S2. I returned it, and wonder if the racquet is actually safe to use -- or whether it was just a freak accident.

Great Beginner RacketIt's everything I expected it to be. It's light, large sweet spot, well balanced, good grip, and nice frame material. It's a considerable difference from my old, aluminum Head Microgel racket in terms of weight, head size & overall feel when hitting the ball. My wife tried it and immediately noticed the difference and fell in love with it. I have to get her one now with a smaller size grip. We're both beginner players in our 50s. This racket offers a lot of comfort and makes playing the game of tennis more fun. I highly recommend it.

Great for beginners and intermediate playersFirst, it is light, gives less stress on my wrist and elbow. Second, it improved my play immediately, although I agree with all other people about the string. The string is too loose and it needs a dampener as well. So that was kinda disappointing. But overall, once you find your preferred string and restring, this will do you a great favor.

Excellent beginner racquetI got one of these to improve my play over the cheap $23 racquet I was using. My play improved immediately. My wife told me it wasn't smart to spend money on a new racquet so soon after we started playing. She tried it... and three days later, she got hers and we both have one now. We're both very happy.

NEEDS RESTRINGING IMMEDIATELEYJust a great racquet. I now have 5. Been hitting balls for 60 years, since TAD & Maxply were the standards. Don't ever blame the racquet. This stick can suit all but the biggest hitters. Find strings you like and restring. A string dampner is necessary. Still giving fits to 30 year olds.

Titanium Head RacquetI purchased this racquet based on the description but it's not what I expected. It's too light. Plus strings had to be changed immediately because they were moving and giving of a serious vibration.

Comments: Returning to tennis after a long, long time. In my 60s and bought this racquet based on online reviews. It was definitely the right choice. Lighter than I expected and very powerful for someone "re-learning" the game. Highly recommend.

Comments: I purchased the Ti.S6 racquet for my son. He is in his second year of high school tennis. He loves the large sweetspot and the way the ball jumps off the racquet. He says the racquet really drives the ball when he serves. He plays a lot of doubles and says the relative light weight has improved his reaction time at the net.

Comments: The Ti.S6 racquet is the absolute best tennis racquet I have ever played with. I played with the Wilson Hammer and when the S6 came out, I purchased one and that was history! I have used it for almost three decades. From the start, I have purchased around at least ten of them. It is the number one selling racquet in the world and I am so pleased that it is still available. Every time I break one after years of use, I buy another.
From: RB, 11/3/20

Comments: I have been using the Head Titanium Ti.S6 racquet for many years. I am a petite, small woman, and I find the weight and balance of this racquet to be just right. I have sampled others, but this is my favorite. I have ordered my racquets and other items from Tennis Warehouse for many years, as well, and have always found them to be reasonable and reliable.
From: Susan, 10/24/20

Comments: I love this racquet, this is the fourth one I have purchased. It has power and control. I like the head racquet size as well. For a senior like myself, it is a great racquet for me.
From: Bridget, 7/27/20

Comments: I'm already 60 years old and this Head Ti.S6 is really comfortable for me for being light. I've been using this racquet for more than a decade now.
From: Nicasio, 5/18/20

Comments: Honestly, I grew up playing with Wilson Hammers. In 1998-1999 I switched to the TiS6 and never looked back. I've played a pretty high level for 20 years now and honestly haven't had any worries with it. I guess it's what works for you. I can't rate it highly enough. Haven't had any issues returning balls from a hard serve and also with accuracy also. I had recently tested numerous tennis racquets ranging from 98-104 square inch heads -- none of them really do it for me. That said, 20 years with one racquet would be hard break away from it and to be honest, I don't want to.
From:Domenic, 3/5/18

Comments: I'm 67 with a NTRP of 3.5. Been playing tennis for decades. I always considered the Ti.S6 the "Old Man's Racquet." About 3 weeks ago I bought three of these. Although pre-strung, I ordered them with Babolat Natural Gut at 40 lbs. I also placed Babolat string savers on the sweet spot. Before purchasing, I tried a friend's for a couple of hours. I've now been playing about 4 to 5 times per week and love the racquet. Why the seemingly oddball stringing? I knew the frame was very stiff and transmitted more vibration than my former Dunlop 500. The softer gut is arm friendly, as is the low string tension. I was a bit worried that the very head heaviness would decrease maneuverability and cause tennis elbow; but no problems there. At the net, the racquet is extremely maneuverable, while the swingweight provides sufficient mass to direct the ball nicely; quicker than my balanced Dunlop. At the baseline I'm getting a couple more feet with my topspin forehand. My slice backhands are more penetrating and sharper. Half-volleys are easier as the ball moves off the racquet quickly. In fact, there's power everywhere on the court. Control is not a problem at my age because my game has become so spin and slice friendly. Serves are deeper but no faster; I need to work on this. Being short, I love the extra 3/4" length, as I've been able to get to a few more balls. I like my configuration much better than my friend's stock stick. The only negative I've found is the sound that it makes. It's metallic and tinny, which even a larger Head damper couldn't conquer. I guess it's to be expected because this racquet is a trampoline. It's what I wanted: an arm friendly; powerful; controllable trampoline.
From:Anthony, 6/28/17

Comments: Power and control. Plus it is lightweight!
From:Ernie, 3/23/17

Comments: I am a 69 year-old, 4.0 NTRP, chip and charge, doubles player. I have used the Ti.S6 for at least 15 years. Love the light frame and power it generates. No elbow problems whatsoever. I string it at 50 lbs with Head Intellitour. At SoCal Sectionals this January in Indian Wells, the 35 year-olds I was competing against gave me some good natured ribbing about the large racquet head. They stopped after we won the match.
From:Thomas, 4/16

Comments: Incredible piece of technology. Plenty of power and very forgiving. Smaller gauge stings make a big difference. I hit a very hard ball and string life is horribly short -- averaging less than 10 hours. Also, the frame is fragile. I broke 9 frames in one year. No, I don't abuse racquets. Head did replace all of them but after #10 they said no more. Definitely worth a try and the value for money.
From:Michael, 2/16

Comments: I am 67 years old and have long played at a high level with a pair of Head Intelligence Racquets. I tried the Ti.S6 because I felt I needed a new racquet and wanted a similar frame. I like these. They are light and agile while being long and powerful. I admit, I did restring almost immediately. Still enough racquet for even a good player who wants a light, stiff frame. Obviously, a moderate price. I hope to play with these for a long time.
From:Charles, 2/16

Comments: My choice since the early 2000s! It is lightweight, easy to maneuver at the net and powerful coupled with my low string tension of 45 lbs. Bought an extra 2 racquets as my backups, now I have 4! I don't think ill be changing racquets anytime soon.
From:Jojo, 1/16

Comments: I must say that I was pretty reserved playing with this racquet. My experience about tennis racquets is to say the least, very limited. I always listened to whatever anybody else had to say until I found myself in such a mess that I just wanted to say goodbye to tennis. My serve was basically non-existent and my arm hurts like hell. I could not return a serve and place it where I wanted. I went for tennis lessons and ended up much worst. If you think things cannot worsen much more, my friend, you are in for a surprise. I was there. That's about the time that I did some research about what is good and bad in tennis racquets. I could place myself in the cage where I belong, not where others say I belong. I purchased 2 of the Ti.S6 Head Titanium tennis racquets and a Pro Stringer. The racquets where strung with Synthetic gut but I got rid of it within the first week. I strung the racquets with Technifibre Black Code 17 strings 61 lbs and I never looked back. I got feel back in my hand. No pain. I can serve like a pro and place the ball from any serve. Slices are not a problem. Topspin makes them cry. Serves send them to the pub. Baseline play gives me power. I started to enjoy my tennis again, and the club members are totally confused since an old guy like me is not supposed to improve so much in such a short a time. The chairman said to me that it was never done before (he must watch out now for his position on the ladder). What can I say, I'm in love at 59 with a tennis racquets. Positively an improvement. Thanks Tennis Warehouse.
From:Neels, 9/15

Comments: The Head Ti.S6 is extremely light and in that way good for older players. I purchased it before playing with it. It is so different to use, I would recommend trying it first. It took me 2 months to get used to it. I am 60 years old and thought the lightness would help preserve my singles career. Because it is light, it is easy on the arm but you have to swing harder to get power, so that cancels the benefit out. I liked many aspects but found it not very good for defensive shots, especially when the ball gets behind the body, so you really find it better if you hit the ball early or move right into the shot. So, after finally getting used to it, and I am a touch player, the frame of the racquet became faulty after 3 months. The frame started vibrating on impact, even tho no apparent damage. I am in the process of returning it for a refund. It would be a good racquet for someone with tendonitis or tennis elbow.
From:John, 7/15

Comments: This is the frame that the Head Graphene Instinct PWR used as a mold to create an updated version from. The new version has a nice paint job, grip and butt cap -- but honestly, this version is also very nice. For $79, this is one of the best racquet values there is for what it can do. Great extra racquet, fun to modify. Great as is for seniors and beginners. I have seen some really good players use it and have seen players with flawed strokes improve their game with it. But it sure plays different than traditional players' racquets.
From:Alex, 6/15

Comments: I had the opportunity to hit a few balls with a friend's Ti.S6 and bought 2. I just could not believe the power, control and accuracy I suddenly had with a serve and groundstrokes. The weight and balance is perfect for me.That is why I bought them!
From:Neels, 6/15

Comments: The strength of this racquet is incredible. I got this racquet 4 days ago and have played with it 3 times. As any racquet does, it has taken me time to get used to it. But, I really enjoy playing with such a light, strong racquet. My accuracy, speed, power and serves have improved dramatically and I feel very comfortable playing with it now. I highly recommend this racquet to anyone of any playing style. Thank you head for making another incredible racquet!
From:Jack, 6/15

Comments: My favorite racquet to date. It's very quick, responsive, and easy to control. In the process of ordering another one.
From:Will, 11/14

Comments: I've had this racquet for 15 years and I can't imagine playing with anything else. I've never found a better racquet.
From:Corinne, 10/14

Comments: I recently got this racquet and it really suits my play style a lot. I tend to rush the net and volley more than I should so I sought out a racquet that had a larger head bigger sweet spot and lower weight that all the racquets I've had in the past. I seldom have to worry about getting this racquet into position and have been hitting the sweet spot a lot more recently. I immediately noticed the string tension the first set I played. My accuracy has dramatically improved with the higher tension as well as my short and long shots. My power isn't as good as it used to be but the difference is very minimal. My serves aren't as accurate but, they are more powerful. That could just be me though. When I get it restrung I'll most likely go with a slightly lower string tension but, all in all this has become my favorite racquet and out of the 5 I own -- I use it every time now.
From:Shane, 8/14

Comments: The racquet is too light so it requires a very big swing to avoid hitting a short ball but at the same time raising the risk of errors. I gave it 10 matches to try and get used to it but I gave up.
From:Don, 8/13

Comments: I have customized this frame and that helped it to play even better. I cut it down to 27" standard length. Added weight (4 strips of 1/2" lead tape), to the head. Added approx. 3/4 oz. weight to the handle. The frame is now at 10 oz. (still light), and has a head light balance now. It is also much more stable on volleys and ground strokes, and the power is much more controllable. Lastly, I lowered the string tension to 56 lbs in the main stings, 51 lbs in the cross string, with two piece stringing.
From:Rod, 7/14

Comments: I played with this racquet for about a year and I do have to say I really enjoyed it. Being very light and a large head size helps with learning to hit with topspin. I do have to say as I have matured as a player that the racquet has gotten worse and worse for my style of play. I have now moved on to the Youtek Radical MP and I do have to say I enjoy that one more.
From:Matthew, 7/14

Comments: I love this racquet. It is extremely light and has amazing power and control. I would recommend it to anyone looking to play.
From:JAred, 7/14

Comments: Good racquet for serving and groundstrokes. Improved my game and I beat good players with expensive racquets. Believe in it. It's good for advanced players too. Best racquet I have ever played with.
From:Angus, 3/14

Comments: The best racquet ever. I love it. Have had it for a year and it still works flawlessly. The sweet spot is huge.
From:Caleb, 3/14

Comments: This is a great racquet if you are looking for power and age is catching up with your body strength and shoulder turn! However, because it is so light I am suffering from acute tennis elbow which is something that I never suffered from before. Pity, as I love the racquet. May try to play around with stringing tension to see if that helps?
From:Geoff, 2/14

Comments: I have just started playing a few years back and I started with a regular racquet and was struggling with my backhand for quite some time, to an extent although I was forced to use both hands with which I was never comfortable. When my racquet broke I got myself the TI S6. Ever since I have gained in immense confidence and I feel this the best thing to happen to me in tennis ever since I started playing, its simply amazing with its light weight and tremendous power.
From:Saurabh, 12/13

Comments: I have always been a power hitter, and relied on racquets that seemed to fit that swing style. A few years back I decided to look for a new racquet and pulled one of these off the rack. Well, I had to do a double take because the first thing that will impress you is how light this is. While there is something to be said for some heft to give you a sense of trust in the racquet's ability to return high paced shots, my reflexes on net shots were instant. No weight to hinder getting the racquet in position. But what really astonished me was using it from the back court. The sweet spot is about the size of Cleveland. I gained so much confidence in my strokes that I blew out the factory string set in couple of weeks. Got them replaced, and then broke the throat. But don't let that put you off the racquet. Just don't try to peel the cover off the ball with it. I think some lead tape at 3 and 9 positions would give the head enough mass to protect the throat from excessive stress. Great racquet. It had a huge impact on improving my game.
From:Stephen, 8/13

Comments: I will not lie -- this racquet was not my favorite. My first reason, even though it may sound weird, is that it was too light for me to power though the ball. The second reason is the head size is so big and the size to weight comparison is all messed up. I would say this racquet is good for a teenager or adult if they are beginning but if you are looking to play in hard matches, this is not your racquet.
From:Andrew, 8/13

Comments: I am a 60 year old tennis player returning after about a 25 year hiatus, although I started playing at the age of 5. Restarted 4 yrs ago and between me and my hitting partner who's tennis history, age and experience parallels mine -- we have estimated that we have had 30 different racquets between the two of us the last 4 years. Ouch! We've both played many sports and still do several a piece. The TiS6 seems to agree with our age, elbows, wrists and learning curve to "modern" tennis with the help of a former touring pro. IMHO the TiS6 makes tennis more fun and fun is what it is all about. Strings: Lux BB x Lux Savage at 56lbs.
From:Steve, 8/13

Comments: After using Wilson racquets for pretty much all of my life, I demo'd this racquet and instantly fell in love. It is light weight surprisingly and allows me to have more control. I can hit my forehands with some pretty sick top spin. Although I wasn't a beginner when I started using this racquet, I very strongly suggest it to that group of players. This racquet is all around great.
From:Kate, 6/13

Comments: Used this racquet for a year and a half, when I was first starting out. Great for beginners to intermediates.
From:Andy, 5/13

Comments: I customized this racquet by cutting it back to 27." I removed the cover of the butt cap and stuffed as many cotton balls as I could down both sides. This brought the frame up to 10 oz. and an even balance. This makes the frame much more stable on off-center hits and volleys and still has good power and performance. The open string pattern makes for easier spin too. I used to use the "players" frames and "tweeners" but now, with the modifications I made, this is working well. I'm a 3.5 level player, all-court singles, serve and volley doubles player. And I use Wilson Sensation 17 at 53lbs.
From:

Comments: I've been playing for about 25 years and I've used this racquet for many years and I bought a Wilson tempest four to replace it (although very light never felt comfortable to play with) so back again to the Ti.S6 then it broke, I ordered 2 Head TI.S6 racquets. These racquets are great, very light and powerful. I do not think I can find a better racquet than this.
From:Pablo, 4/13

Comments: I am a racquet addict, I have tested almost everything in the market, however I wanted myself to be always far from OS frames. Well, recently I was late when hitting with hard hitters with my over 11 oz frames that were my prefered ones, a friend told me to try a bigger racquet so I bought two of these babies. At first I was skeptical because these huge frames are popular for beginners or old people. What a surprise though, I can use my long fast swing with it obtaining good depth with crazy topspin, I have learned also you have to use a semi-western grip to rip the ball enough, otherwise my shots were landing out of the court, the serves were the best of my life, a lot of power, smashes and volleys a dream because I was able to do very short angles with this racquet, my two hand backhand landed deep and hard with not too much effort, drop shots with a lot of spin, in general the best racquet I ever hit with, the best you can play with it using the long and fast swing as it was a Wilson Pro staff or a Head Pro Tour but with minimal effort, one more thing, use a tension of 50 lbs with a soft poly and prepare to defeat anyone, I love this racquet.
From:Anon, 4/13

Comments: This is a turbo-charged, super-light, rocket launcher in sharp contrast to the heavy player's racquets that I am used to. But the ease of swing, the comfort, and the effortless power are so addictive that I went ahead and bought one! You need to shorten your swing and hit with topspin, otherwise the ball will fly out of control. I suggest applying lead tape near the handle to mitigate the head heavy balance. The racquet is very stiff and it would be wise to use a softer string at low tension to avoid tennis elbow. Those macho guys out there with a false notion that this is a "granny stick" just swallow your pride and give it a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. Apparently this is the most popular stick amongst recreational players, and I hope that Head continues to make this gem available for future generations.
From:Dr. B, 3/13

Comments: After suffering both tennis and golfers elbow a coach told me to get the lightest racquet I could find. A friend had the TiS6 and recommended it. As soon as I hit with this racquet the pain disappeared. I thought of this as an old timers stick and not for serious players, what a mistake. I have played some superb tennis with this racquet and my opponents have told me never to change as it has improved my game noticeably. I had reached and ITF rating of 149 in the 55s and was reluctant to change but there is no going back for me now. Forget the ego and try this one. The only issue I had was I strung it with gut and kept snapping strings every three sets or so, I now use Babolat excel at 55lbs and the racquet is a dream.
From:Anon, 3/13

Comments: I've had this racquet for about a year now and I at first was very surprised by the power but I soon found out putting topspin on my forehand was just painful to do with this racquet.. If you want only power I recommend this racquet. I had to switch to the Aero Pro.

Comments: I have been playing with this racquet for about 12 years. I've left it briefly three or four times and tried other racquets because I kept believing and hearing this was not a serious racquet to play with. But because of its great control, comfort, lightness and touch, I always found myself returning to the Ti.S6. I could not find anything better that helped my mostly back court game like this did. I still keep taking out demos and looking to find a more modern and better weapon. I've begun to feel like I'm wasting my time. But I'm very happy with my Ti.S6. So are most people who ask to hit with it.

Comments: This is very light, and I can do a lot of different things with this racquet that I can't do with some of my friend's smaller, heavier racquets. I don't have much of a follow through in my swing, and this racquet is great for that.

Comments: I love this racquet! I was walking through a sporting goods store and I knew this was the perfect one for me! This was the first ever professional racquet I've ever owned. As soon as I started I knew I would do wonders with the racquet. It allows me to have more power to my shots, and even my father thinks so! I strongly suggest that you order this racquet!

Comments: I agree with the last commentator. This is a great racquet. I'm an 83-year old former tournament player, college coach and hitting coach. With this racquet, which may not meet the standards of the so-called"tennis elite", but I guarantee I can pretty much outhit most players 40 to 50 years younger than me. My serve has been clocked at 111 mph with this racquet and believe it does everything you need it to do. I have wandered to other sticks from time to time, but always come back to the S6. As my dear father would say "you pay your money...and takes your choice." And this would be a very wise choice.

Comments: This is the best racket I bought in my life, and to all the haters out there this racquet will bring you far. And its not about the type of racket you have, it's what you CAN do with it. This is a supreme racket and with its lightweight and powerful frame, it gives you an advantage above the other players! Really great racket from HEAD!

Comments: I have recently started playing tennis and thiswas my first racquet. This racquet was a good first racquetand offers pretty good control and power from all parts ofthe court. The problems I had with this racquet is that it isI incredibly stiff and caused me wrist pains. The second isthat with the oversized frame I felt like I didn't havecontrol of the racquet. Due to my wrist pains I would notrecommend this racquet.
From:Wil, 4/12

Comments: This racket is much more head-heavy than my previous stick and gave backswing problems on my long semi-western forehand for a while. Had to start the loop backswing/grip change much earlier and consciously get to the lowest point of the swing early on. Once I did that, it was ok. Gave 10% more power and 15% more spin. For shorter strokes, did not have this problem.
From:Edge, 3/12

Comments: I got this racquet to get more bite on my backhand slice which is a compact cutting stroke. Worked great and also improved my volleys. The heavy head is very stable n goes thru hard/heavy/fast balls hit to u even though racquet overall is light. Other strokes: My forehand is a semi-western long stroke with heavy topspin-the racquet did not affect it much but I got maybe 15% more spin from the big face and less mishits, same for my basic kick serve. Generally, this racquet increased my bite a lot on short/compact strokes like my backhand slice and volleys, didn't affect long strokes like my forehand much, but gave more spin on all strokes. It has helped my game, don't listen to those who say it is for beginners etc. If u want more spin overall, n more bite on compact strokes like backhand slice, blocks n volleys, this racquet will help.

It has helped me improve my game. it is super light and powerful. I'm a bit concerned about the stiffness of the strings though. In general, I'm in love with it,I strongly recommend it.
From:Nikos, 11/11

Comments: I totally love this racquet! I've been using 11 ounce Prince and Head racquets, but switching to this head-heavy super lightweight has changed my thinking. The oversized sweet spot allows me to hit out on groundstrokes with lots of confidence, volleys are a breeze, and I can generate tons of power and spin on the serve. And the ball goes where I want - deep, wide, drop, spin - whatever. I previously stayed away from very light racquets because I feared they would screw up my stroke timing, but the plow-through on the Ti.S6 is great and easy on the arm. I can't say enough - there's a reason for it's enormous popularity.

Comments: I am a 4.0 open player. My frames are heavy 12 ounce, head light, and flexible. They are a Prince Original Graphite and Head Radical Tours. Since I have never hit one of these light weight, head heavy big sticks I wanted to for fun. First off, I was shocked at the low power. I thought it would be an uncontrollable missile launcher. To my surprise, I found I could spin the ball in from everywhere! This frame is the polar opposite of what I play with. I bought the demo and modified it. Lead tape under the grip brought it to 10.5 oz and about 3 points head heavy. It plays amazing now. I ordered 2 more at Tennis Warehouse.

Comments: I was using the Head Protector Mid Plus and needed more power without wasting my control ability. I was skeptical about this racquet mainly about my "tennis elbow" yet I was surprised. Generating a lot of power, even with the factory strings, great for baseline play, easy on the net, reaching balls as it is an oversize. For my level, it is really a game improvement racquet.

Comments: Amazing racquet for the price! The tall head helps with my serve a lot as well as my strokes. I got a different grip because it lost its tackiness after a few months. It really does need to be restrung though. The strings that came with it were horrible.

I have had a Prince O3 Silver and 03 Blue, Head Metallix 115, and currently use a Prince Ozone 4, but this racquet has surprised me with its power level. And this is with the crappy factory strings, imagine what it will do with a re-string!? It definitely needs better strings to give a little more feel and control, but, for first up hitting, my girlfriend who is an A grader, said I am playing better with it in place of my Prince Ozone 4. To those people who have condemned it, shame on you, it is good for Intermediate players too.
From:John, Auckland, New Zealand. 8/10

Comments: Good racquet for the price. I would recommend for intermediate level players, but it can be used by higher level, and even some beginners. I used this racquet for about 2 years, but I feel it is hard to hit back very hard serves with any placement. Has good control on it, but not too much power. With a good rip you can get a decent amount of spin on the ball. Hits slice serves nicely, but flat serves lacked. Recommended NTRP: 3.0+

Comments: When I first tried this racquet, I felt I could not miss. The sweet spot is huge. A great Doubles racquet, provides lots of spin and since it it is extra long, I can reach for balls I would not normally be able to get to. A huge advantage for the serve and overheads since the contact point is higher. I feel taller. I am a teaching pro and have tried other racquets because the TI.S6 is not considered "an advanced racquet" among the tennis elite. However, I keep coming back to it as I proceed to lay the smack down on them when I play competitive doubles. To me given the price and performance, it is a no-brainer.

Comments: This racquet is very nice for players that are just beginning or don't want to use too much of their own power. Serving wise, I wasn't really fond of it as it was too easy to hit the ball too deep. Definitely not the most forgiving racket on serves. I found this racket to really be a baseliner's racquet. If you have a good controlled forehand/backhand this racket can work very well for putting a lot of power into your shots. It's nice for developing players, but as you begin to generate your own power an upgrade with more control would be better. I still use it as a backup though. Comments: Great racquet for serve, volley, and backhand slice. I balanced the racquet by removing the grip, and taped about 5in of 1/2" lead tape close to the base of grip. This also makes the base of the grip more like a bulb end of a hammer grip, and still leave the rest of it close to the original grip size. Ended up with a grip size around 4 5/8" when finished, but the racquet is now balance for good control and added weight to handle heavy serves and heavy hits. After the mod, started to play with more spin and it plays very well with the Ashaway Crossfire 17. Will try Forten Aramid Gear string next for more spin. Overall a good racquet after some mods. Will buy another one with smaller grip 4 1/4" size to mod to around 4 1/2" which is the grip size I normally play with.A note that adding weight to the head does not help that much since the racquet is already head heavy but very light. Adding weight close to the base of the handle to balance out the racquet is the way to go. My two cents input ;-).

Comments: I have just started using this racquet after trying one that another tennis coach was using. I found that I could control my serves much easier than with my Babolat Pure Storm+. I have used other Head racquets and have found this one to be the best of them hands down. I read the comments about returning power serves and strokes and have found that I have not had any issues. If you feel it is not weighty enough, try adding some lead tape to the head. I did have to adjust my stroke because of the extra power so I wouldn't hit it past the baseline. The one issue I have found and only by talking to others, is that on rare occasion the head may break. Usually those people like to strike their racquet on the ground. As a High School tennis coach I would highly recommend this racquet.

If you are capable of quick racquet preparation and know how to control your swing speed, you can do almost anything with this stick. I know at least three other 4.5 to 5.0 player using it. That said, it isn't my primary racquet, but is a great back up for those days when I am tired, sore, and don't feel like swinging for the fences. It's a great serving weapon too. I have both the original Austrian and China versions. The Austrian is better if you can find one.

Comments: I find it so weird that some people say they cannot get a good hit out of this racquet against fast heavy balls. I actually do much better against those types of players with this racquet because all I have to do is stick the racquet out and it blocks back the pace easily. I found when people dink you and you have to create your own power by swinging the racquet through, and it's very easy to send the ball long that way.

Comments: Ok here is the take on the TIS6 from my perspective. The minuses:It is for the most part a beginning players or weekend warriors racket, it is way too light for serious players. Having said that to each his own. If you are a serious level player and are using this with success more power to ya and enjoy but the odds are you are one of the few at that level using this. What this is good for are balls that are coming at you no more than 40-60 mph tops; if you try using this racket against a player serving 80 or 90 + mph you cannot get a solid return no matter what, there is just not enough weight behind this racket to have any control whatsoever and to be honest you'll spend the most part of the return just trying to keep the racket from getting knocked loose from your hand this is not an exaggeration I tried and tried with this thing and I couldn't get it to work against any serves with any speed. As soon as I switched to my other rackets (liquidmetal 4 or Radical Midplus) there was the instant hefty solid feel and return and don't forget the LM4 is considered light at 10.5 oz that's 2 oz heavier than the TIS6.so this thing just is not for me.
The pluses: You can absolutely smoke your serves and passing shots with this if you learn to control it. You can with slow balls coming at you, but you'll have the same problem mentioned above if someone puts any speed on the ball at all. It's a lot easier to keep in the park than one could imagine with such a large head and high string tension I really had no problem with that at all I found it very controllable on ground strokes and the spin you can generate is quite amazing.

Comments: I love this racquet, It has a huge sweet spot and can generate lots of power. But if you're not careful your ball will tend to go out past the baseline. Accuracy is good and I would know because I tend to beat people by accuracy and power on my groundstrokes. Great racquet!

Comments: This racquet has a huge amount of power, which makes it a good choice for beginners. What the racquet lacks is control. I've been playing tennis with this racquet for 3 years and I can't control my shots as well as I want to. I usually hit the ball 4 or 5 feet from where I aim them and sometimes that can make the ball go out. Spins come pretty easily, but I found topspin to be easier to hit than slicing with this thing. Not a very accurate racket by any means, but I was still able to place shots within 2-3 feet of where I wanted it to go. Serving is rather hard to do. Groundstrokes are fine. I generate so much power and spin with this racquet that I broke the strings in two months starting out as a beginner. Although I was a beginner I am now a lot better and this racquet is still super good since the follow through requires little energy to hit, and it has a huge sweetspot. Comments: I was amazed at reading all the comments regarding this racquet. It was regarded as one of the best-selling racquets in Australia by HEAD. It was not recommended for a younger player generally,as they usually want to generate their own power with a narrower body racquet, as most pros do on the circuit. I have an original Ti S6, and when I saw the price of this racquet, I jumped at the chance to purchase four. I also have the next 3 racquets it was replaced with in Australia. It's funny reading comments by players stating that the racquet is not good at topspin, volleys, smashes etc. Hellooooo, you're the player and you're supposed to do all of those shots, not the racquet. It certainly helps if the racquet feels good when you are making those shots. For those who really know tennis, what suits you may not necessarily suit others. Your game may be played in a different way to others. That is why you should try racquets before you purchase them.

Comments: I found this racket to be very comfortable for my game comprising of topspin, back hand slices, over head smashes and placements. I saw a younger guy using this racket very well. He hits forehand and backhand shots with awesome power. He serves also with great power, which I have learned after seeing him do. My game and ball control have improved after I got used to the lightweight.

Comments: Eh, this racquet is for beginners. I mean beginners beginners! It contributes power, but that's about it. No control. So, if you want to start the game of tennis and see how you like it, then definitely get this racquet. If you're 3.0+, then no, get another racquet.
From:Audrey, Prescott, AZ, USA, 02/07

Comments: I would definitely not recommend this racquet to a player who likes to attack. It is a weak racquet unless you would like to take the time to customize it. It has a pretty good amount of topspin but a find this racquet very weak and annoying to big servers and hard hitting opponents. This racquet is great for beginners but once you reach at least the 3.5 NTRP, look for a new racquet now that you have improved your serve, groundstrokes, volleys, overheads, etc.

Comments: This was my first racquet and my game really improved with it. I liked it with a higher string tension. Serving was good but groundstrokes and forehands were unpredictable. Backhands were more reliable since the forehand would not have as much control. It's a good one to get you started but once I reached a higher level of play it was difficult to work with. It was light and it produced tremendous power but it was inconsistent. I now play with a Head liquidmetal radical and it's working out great.

Comments:I bought this racket because my friend had a Ti.s1 and I really like it so I got the s6 it the best racquet I have ever had. Everything about it is perfect but if you like to swing faster, then it's not the racket for you or if you like too much power. I broke the frame of my racquet in mid air when I slammed the ball after a year. Even though it broke I still plan to get the same racket.

Comments: Real light racket, with nice power, and no vibrations. I bought it after I lost my Wilson prostaff (classic). I know it's a huge change but I started to like my new choice. It has more power and is more comfortable because of the light weight. I feel like my shots are 3 times more powerful with it.
From:Michael, Kousba Koura, Lebanon. 10/06

Comments: I have always played with my Prince racquet and someone bought me the TiS6 3 weeks ago. I am so amazed how much my game has improved in this time. I get some crazy spin, especially with my drop shots. I normally have heavy top- spin shots and I can still control it with this racquet. The ball definitely jumps more. The only problem I am having so far with the TiS6 is that I am having to change my serve. I am getting too much power and am having to get more spin, but I am getting this wicked hard slice serve where my playing partner says he has no chance to get it. I am definitely pleased with my investment!
From:A., FL, USA. 9/06

Comments: Played a couple of times. Shock absorption is pretty awesome, key in my selection because I broke my arm 15 years ago. More top spin in my forehand, and see improvement in my backhand thanks to its lightweight. Felt a bit light when it comes to serving. I think it's most valuable as a game improvement racquet for now. Look elsewhere if you're looking for power.
From:Anon, Tulsa, OK, USA 09/06

Comments: I started playing with this racquet about 6 years ago. Then I switched to a heavier racquet because it was beginning to be too light for my shots. I've been using the Flexpoint Prestige for about a year now and there was one time three months ago I broke the strings and the only racquet in my bag was the Ti.S6 that my brother was using. I had to use it and to my surprise I felt like I was playing like a pro. My topspins got heavier and my serve was really strong and penetrating. I said to my self, WOW! I haven't restrung the Flexpoint Prestige yet and I've been using the Ti.S6 ever since. Now I just tightened my tension to add more control because I already get the power from the Ti.S6.

Comments: I have been playing tennis for eleven years now, and I have used this racquet since I was 12 years old. This was a great racquet to learn with. Its lightweight was a tremendous help to me. I sped up my serve and all of my other shots for that matter. Also the spin capabilities of this racquet are amazing. I would certainly recommend this racquet to anyone who wants to learn to play tennis at a high level. Even though I have now moved on to a Babolat Pure Drive Roddick, I still keep my TI.S6 close at hand.

Comments: Best racquet I've ever played with, great for my drop shots, serves, overhead smashes, and sharp angles. It did however take me about 3 weeks to get used to its awesome power. It's very light, which aids in the racquet head speed, so you have to learn to control your upward brush for topspin. Keep tension low and it will blow past your opponents, but remember to hit under and brush up or you may find you cannot keep ball in court.

Comments: This racquet is so light. You can pretty much grip it and rip it. I can put some crazy spin on the ball now, and I couldn't with my old Wilson racquet. If you hit the ball really HARD then I wouldn't recommend this racquet.

Comments: This racquet is way too light for anyone who wants better control with their shots. I found that my arm worked way too much for a lousy shot. I had to put lead weights to make it beefier, but it just gave me tennis elbow.
From:Leica, Milwaukee, WI, USA 04/06

Comments: This is my favorite racket and I have tried a lot of racquets. I hit with moderate topspin and I have no problem with control. I did find it to be too light so I added lead tape to the lower half.

Comments: I've been playing almost 50 years and this is my favourite racquet of all time. The light weight means very quick hands at the net, and a bit of wrist flick gives tremendous power on serves. I tend to overhit the ball and hit long. When swinging for power this racquet deadens the ball a bit and keeps my ball on the court. I have been using my current racquet for well over 3 years now and am currently looking for another two. I'm playing at a 3.5-4.0 level, so I'm reading comments from people who say this is a beginners racquet and doesn't generate power, and I'm thinking they must have really short strokes with not much back swing. If you can't generate power with this racquet, please, don't blame the racquet. I'm bouncing balls over the fences and hitting the back fence in one bounce on serves that are in. And consistently hitting winners on my return of serve. If you have trouble hitting pace, I agree, this racquet probably for you. But if like me, you're looking for a little more control, this is a great racquet.
From:Norman, Shelburne, Ontario, Canada. 03/06

Comments: This is a great racquet for a beginner. It got me to the level I am at now, but now I need a better racquet to compete at a higher level. It is very light, so it is hard to return harder serves. Also the frame is very large so the ball would frequently hit it and go all over the place. I would recommend it for beginners only.
From:Arjun, Maplewood, MN, USA. 03/06

Comments:I love this racquet. I am a 12 year old and my Wilson ncode had cracked. I wanted to temporarily use my dads racquet before I got a new one. It was amazing. I had won a tournament just the next weekend and got second place the next tournament. This racquets disadvantage though is its weight. It's very light.

Comments:This racquet is REALLY light, unless you are a beginner of tennis or an old person who cannot carry the heavy racquet, don't get this racquet... since it's too light, you can't control the ball easily...
From:Won Jang, Albuquerque, NM, USA. 01/06

Comments: I loved this racquet when I first started playing, but as others have stated, you tend to quickly outgrow the Ti6 as you improve. I'm surprised at the previous review that suggested using natural gut- the first time I had it strung with natural gut, I broke a string after less than 1 hour of play. I've had 2 of these frames crack when I've had them strung at the high end of the recommended scale, and yet when I had them strung at low-mid tension I lost control, and the strings shifted so much (I hit with a lot of topspin, this may not be such a problem for flat hitters) that I pop a string after only 3-4 uses with synthetic gut. On the plus side, it's a great price for a game improvement racquet, and I think the beginners on up to 3.0 level probably wouldn't go wrong with it.
From:Lynn, FL USA 01/06

Comments: I have been playing tennis for 30 years. I am a club 4.0-4.5. I have a power game - hard flat forehand. This is the best racquet I have ever played with. Great power and even better control. Try it with natural gut strings and you will be in love.

Comments: This racket has no control what so ever and is really difficult to hit winners with. I have had it for 6 months now and now that I play advanced tournaments constantly I have difficulty returning big serves. It is definitely a beginner racket.

Comments: This is only a beginners racket. That is it. It is great if you are new to the sport but as you start to play more competitively you will really struggle with this racket due to its light weight and power. If you play against people with even a relatively fast serve you will find it hard to return with such a light racket. Fortunatly I didn't buy this I just tested it for two weeks. But this is a great racket to get if you are a begginer.

Comments: This racket I think is targeted for people who are a low level, or older player(Like 60 yrs. old) I found it has to much power because I generate my own power, and had little control. I also found it was WAY TOO LIGHT for higher level play. This was a bad racket overall.

Comments: I had this racquet for about a year now and it was the first performance racquet I had. At first I loved it. It was light and I wasn't that strong then. It had powerful shots that I couldn't have done with any other racquet. But I came to dislike it now that I play with better players. The lightness is quite useless when trying to counter a fast heavy ball. You have to exert a LOT of force and the light frame does not dampen as much vibration as I want it to. As a result, my arm constantly pains. I believe this racquet is only for beginners but as you get better, it is wise to switch to a heavier racquet.

Comments: I can't believe how much power that this racket can generate with just one touch. If a person knows how to control a racket then this will be a challenge because the power goes off really wildly. I had this racket for 9 months and finally popped the strings. Comments:I have been playing with the Titanium Ti S6 for a year now. I agree with the racket's complaints. The racket does not provide power nor accuracy. It is just a light-designed racket that can benefit beginners, but other than that, it's a bad racket to use.

Comments: Delivery - ordered on Thursday delivered to my home in Cairns, in Tropical North Queensland, Australia, not a capital city, Monday morning. Unbelievable.Racquet - Have had an original TiS6 O/S for seven years, never broke a string. It was made in Austria weighing 255 gms. This one is made in China. It weighs 224 gms that is 30 gms below the specification of 255 gms. Attempted to play competition (I play comp three nights a week on average) with the factory strings, what a dog. Had it strung next day, played competition again, what an racquet, it is so good. My pro strings the TiS6 at 50lbs; he uses a very smooth horizontal string and a course vertical string, brilliant. Hits flat balls with zing and the topspin is out of this world.
